COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will teach advanced skills necessary in identifying, documenting, processing, and collecting numerous types of evidence for use in criminal investigations. Topics such as blood pattern documentation, digital evidence, shooting scene documentation, advanced photography and advanced latent print recovery will be covered using lecture and hands on practical exercises. The skills taught will then be combined in scenario-based evaluations including a mock court experience.

PRE-REQUISITES
Students will be responsible for providing a digital camera (DSLR or Mirrorless with off camera flash capabilities are strongly encouraged), tripod, flashlight and notetaking supplies for use in class. All other materials will be provided.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will teach the fundamental skills necessary to identify, document, process, and collect numerous types of evidence for use in criminal investigations. Topics such as crime scene management, diagramming, photography, latent print processing, biological and trace evidence and more will be covered using a combination of classroom lecture and hands-on practical exercises. The skills taught will then be combined for a final day of scenario-based evaluations to enable the students to make informed decisions when processing crime scenes ranging from simple theft to violent crimes.
